1/18/2010 A National Record 70,000 Volunteers Make It A Day On Not A Day Off In 15TH Annual Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service
  A national record 70,000 people of all ages and backgrounds throughout the Philadelphia region volunteered today in some 1,100 service projects in the 15th annual Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service, according to Todd Bernstein, president of Global Citizen and Founder and director of the Greater Philadelphia King Day of Service. The 2010 Greater Philadelphia King Day of Service is again the largest King Day service event in the nation. Today's turnout adds approximately 5,000 volunteers and 200 projects to last year's record numbers.

  Governor Pat Quinn today joined the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) and the Serve Illinois Commission in encouraging Illinoisans to take part in the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service.   Pennsylvanians of all ages are urged to join more than 80,000 volunteers taking part in community service projects statewide during the 15th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on Monday, Jan. 18, Department of Labor & Industry Secretary Sandi Vito said today.

1/15/2010 Mayor Brown Hosts Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration and Day of Service
  BUFFALO- Mayor Byron W. Brown will host a celebration in commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Friday, January 15, 2010. The celebration will take place at City Hall, main lobby, 65 Niagara Sq. at 12:00pm.
